I’m an amputee (below knee) and having the magnetic pedals helps me feel where my prosthetic is and keep it on the pedal, without the fear of getting caught if my foot was clipped or caged.

Apologies in advance – this may not be a typical short review. The recent purchase was fantastic, great product, zero complaints. Blah, blah, blah. Now the rest of the story. I’ve been a mountain biker for about 40 years. Always clipped in. On 8/30/23 my right leg had to be amputated below the knee. I got a prosthetic on 1/15/24. I knew I would ride again – no doubt – but could I unclip on the prosthetic side (very questionable), and would I die trying to learn to ride flats (probably)? A good friend suggested a possible middle ground – magpeds – and he gave a set to me that previously belonged to his good friend who had just died from cancer. Seriously. It was very meaningful and touching. He wanted his friend’s stuff (pedals, etc.) to remain on the trails and not just be sold off. After installing and using the magpeds on my full suspension e-bike I realized they were the perfect solution for me for now. So….. that leads to this purchase. I have a beautiful Vassago VerHauen steel frame Single Speed MTB. Because of my medical issue and eventual amputation, that bike had not seen dirt in over a year. I bought these Magpeds for that bike, put them on this morning, and rode it today. Perfect. THANK YOU for making a product that got me back on the trails. Not just on the full suspension e-bike, but also on my beautiful Single Speed. Thank you so much.

Ordering process was easy and the pedals are awesome! The magnets are amazing at keeping your feet on the pedals.

Absolutely love these pedals! I live and ride in the western Colorado desert and our biking is very technical sandstone. These pedals are the best of both worlds… the mobility of flats and the connection of clipless.
Thanks!

Customer service was very helpful and I love the pedals so far! I need to adjust a little on once side but they are very comfortable. The videos and instructions are easy to follow, so I look forward to getting them dialed in right.

I was pleasantly surprised by these. I was hesitant going into the purchase but they are well worth while. Coming from clipless, I knew it wouldn’t be exactly the same. The balance between support through the shoe like a flat pedal and the pulling strength off of the magnet, it’s the perfect blend. It’s much easier to place your foot before going into something rough and it stays there. I’m super happy with these and will most likely buy another set for my other bike.

So far, very good. I have three rides on them and and what stands out to me is the feel of being held to the pedals, yet being able to pop my feet off with not much effort. Quality seems great, so no issues there. People mention the clicking sound, which is true. SOLUTION: LOWER the magnets. If too high, your are compressing the rubber piece when you pedal, resulting in the click.
