I wiped out and couldn’t get out of my clips earlier this summer. These are an amazing solution but I do need to be more careful as I ride. Coming out of these, even with the heavy magnets is scary – but I ride much more confident that I won’t be tumbling with my bike if it ever happens again.

I love my MAGPED roads! I didn’t want to go with clip ins due to possibly not remembering to unclip in a pinch. I wanted something easier to unclip from. The magnets are more than strong enough to keep my feet attached . I loved them so much I ordered a second set for my gravel bike! Great service! Ordered the Magpeds and then ordered shoes from Amazon Prime on the same day. I got the Magpeds before the shoes. Excellent! If you’re a commuter that continuously has to disengage your pedals/cleat like in traffic etc. – you can’t beat MagPed pedals. Magnets and plates are adjustable in retention. No more cleat hang-up/binding at the traffic lights or in a situation where you need to unclip quickly and safely without sacrificing retention on the go.

Shipped quickly from B.C. Installed easily on my bike and shoes. The pedals worked exactly as advertised on my first test ride. Good hold and easy release from multiple angles and positions. I broke my arm in a freak clip-out accident last July which ended my riding for the season. It was very disappointing. It’s not that I can’t ride clipped in, but even that freak accident could have been avoided with these MagPeds. 100% happy with them.

Quality is outstanding. As an amputee, I find that unclipping from the pedals is as described – easier than I have found with any other pedals. The one drawback to the design is that you do not have cleats that allow for rotation, which is essential for an amputee with a rigid prosthetic.

A bit on the pricey side, but worth it! Went out today for the first time and found them easy to clip in and out of. I have neuropathy in my feet from chemo and could not comfortably use regular clips. I had no trouble using the Magped clips.

Original price point was a concern. Would have made the decision quicker if it was under $200 CDN. However worth the money once I got them. Easiest and safest clip-on pedal I have used. 200N Magnet force magnet keeps the pedal attached to the shoes. Unclipping is a breeze.

So far, so good but it has only been a couple of days. Bought these for my wife who has had trouble with regular road clipless pedals. Installation was easy but the black plastic piece could be held on place a bit better. Slotted, countersunk screws in plastic might not be the best solution. Tends to move a bit. My wife has no problems getting in or out of these pedals. The spindle feels solid when riding according to her, better than the Look Keo 2 Max pedals that she had before.

This is an incredible product that has probably saved me in many ways. I enjoy cycling but I enjoy it much less with the standard bike pedal clips. With much hesitation and lots of research I finally pulled the trigger after a year of cycling to go clipless. Went out for my first ride today, a short one compared to my usual rides as I just wanted to concentrate on learning how to use the pedals. Like anything else there’s definitely a learning curve as this is a new thing to think about much like learning to drive a car. They are definitely easy to get out of but again that range of motion will become second nature and it’ll become even easier. Getting back into them is the bigger learning curve as obviously they are one sided but my fear of going clipless was always the getting out and not getting in. I’m happy I went with these as my mind is more at ease and they are a very well made product. The magnetic connection is definitely strong enough to keep your shoes connected to the pedals. For any beginner with trepidation I highly recommend them.

I do not yet have enough hindsight to make a final judgment.
But from the first use I feel a feeling of comfort and security, you just have to get used to properly wedging the shoe but it is only a matter of time. I find that you put it back on quite easily,
You just have to take landmarks to get there on the first try. I no longer approach difficult passages with apprehension because I know that I could more easily release my shoes not like on normal cleats which have earned me a fall with fracture of the femur. On the other hand despite few exits with these pedals I noticed that the anodization of the adjustable screws tends to disappear very quickly.
I am trying to convince my entourage to switch to this kind of pedals and despite a test over a short distance, the principle was very appreciated.
Too bad that when ordering a t-shirt or other object bearing the initials “MAGPED” is not shipped, advertising being the best way to publicize a product.
