These were just what I needed. They work great for plain road biking. They are snug but with a simple twist of the ankle you are unlocked and in an emergency stop you have no fear of falling. 10 out of 10 in my book.

I bought these pedals, when my wife who has Alzheimer’s lost her ability to clip into spd road or mountain bike pedals. She can only ride a tandem now. We tried platform pedals, but they were too dangerous. If her foot came off, she was tempted to stick it in dangerous places. The magped road give here no trouble clipping in and we can continue with an activity we both enjoy. Although I have not tried the pedals, it seems they give performance similar to spd road, with much easier entry and probably easier exit. Although maybe hard for long-term riders to understand, the additional ease of entry and exit, is probably very helpful for newer riders. The pedals appear to be very well made. Mechanically performs the same as clipless pedals but the peace of mind I have knowing I can get out of these pedals so much easier than clipless systems is worth the price and definitely contributed to a boost in my performance. I appreciated that the pedals come with different size pieces so you can customize how much rotation your foot has once connected to the pedals. It only took a few km to get used to the “float” between the magnet and the shoe and it was easy to install both the magnets and pedals. I never want to go back to clipless pedals!

Awesome product! The magnets pull the cleat in the right direction so it is easy to clip in. My wife loves them as she was unable to use traditional clip in pedals safely. These are a breeze for her!

After a week of riding about 30 miles per day, I love these pedals! As light as Dura-Ace, very easy to get out of, and have never disconnected while pedaling. Having ridden on the previous Magped Road pedals for over two months and loving them, these Road2 pedals are a significant improvement! Noticeably lighter and I find it even easier to reconnect my left foot. Highly recommended for any road bike rider who has had problems with or concerns about unclipping!

Awesome! Why be locked in clipless system when you can be locked in with freedom to release. Road2 makes it even easier to lock in with the better float system. On top of all that, no cluncky sounds walking in these shoes. Highly recommend these, to all cyclists.
